In this drama mixing science fiction and fantasy, there are two main groups: the "surface primitives" and the "Intras", who live in a more technologically advanced society beneath the surface. The story addresses moral dilemmas around exploitation and the ethics of using one group for the benefit of another. There is also a sense of impending apocalypse as the primitives begin to understand the threat they face and the Intras worry about being discovered. The narrative is charged with tension, betrayal, and the potential for large-scale conflict.
